In order to let Kate rest for a bit, Norah and I went to the nursery to warm her up and get a bath. She wasn’t too fond of the bath, but as soon as she was back in the bassinet, she was the same calm baby (we’ll have to see if that lasts!).
After Kate and Audrey were situated, I went out to Grammy’s house to get Grant and Norah. They were so excited to go and see Audrey that before I arrived, they kept asking if they could just take Grammy’s car and go instead of waiting for Daddy to get there
After what seemed to them to be a long time to them (thankfully we saw a few trains and school busses. That placated them and kept them occupied looking for more) we got to the hospital. We walked in and they got to meet their new sister!
Grant had fun giving Audrey a kiss on the head and holding her briefly, but Norah was in heaven! She probably held Audrey for 1/2 of the time she was visiting! She was heartbroken by the fact that eventually she had to leave to go get some dinner.
I took the Grant and Norah to Portillo’s for some daddy time while Kate visited with her mom and sister. We ate a quick dinner and returned to the hospital just in time for a party! Some of our friends from church stopped by to visit for a bit. The kids had fun seeing their friends and playing in the closet in the room. You can see the visitors modeling the lovely MRSA gowns

I figured that with some of my family blogging now, we should get back into the swing of things. We’ve had a blog twice in the past and the first time I even wrote the blogging software. I don’t have time to do that anymore! The kids are always doing something entertaining that we’d like to share, so check back often!
Meet the Team:
Gary – Quintissential computer nerd. Works as geek of all trades for a non-profit by day. By night I’m a bike steadier, bear, piggyback ride giver, cook, monster, grill dude, face maker, comforter, diciplinarian, butler, chauffeur, and more.
Kate – Keeps everything running! Seriously, the homefront would grind to a halt without the work that Kate does when I’m gone during the day.
Grant – 4 going on 14. Absolutely LOVES trains(not Thomas, real trains he’d say), the color blue, Jesus, music, and life! Grant’s idea of the perfect day would be getting on a Metra train and going to eat at 2Toots restaurant.
Norah – 2.5 Our little spitfire. What she lacks in height, she makes up for in spunk! She recntly finished wearing diapers and she’s so proud of herself. Loves to chase Grant, “nuggle”(snuggle), and run around. She has an absolutely unending supply of energy!
Coming Soon – Our little girl is scheduled to arrive on March 16th!
